First-year students of the Department of Computer Science made an introductory visit to the Chernivtsi office of SoftServe

On September 28, 2025, first-year students of the Department of Computer Science at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, enrolled in the “Intellectual Data Analysis in Computer Information Systems” program, made an introductory visit to the Chernivtsi office of SoftServe.

The purpose of the event was to bring students closer to the real IT environment where they will later apply the knowledge gained during their studies and to help them better understand the requirements of the modern labor market.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to:

  • learn about the history and scale of SoftServe’s activities as one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine;
  • explore the company’s key areas of expertise, including software development, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies;
  • see how a modern IT workspace is organized;
  • communicate with company representatives who shared their professional experiences and career development stories.

A special focus was placed on the integration of students into the professional environment. SoftServe representatives introduced SoftServe Academy – an educational division that offers training courses and internships for young specialists. The students learned about internship programs in areas such as Big Data, Data Science, DevOps, and automated testing. It was also emphasized that SoftServe actively cooperates with Ukrainian universities by updating curricula and offering dual study opportunities, which allow students to combine academic training with practical experience. This helps young professionals develop competitive advantages and prepare for the challenges of the IT industry.

Such visits help students better understand the practical value of their university education and identify the skills that will be in demand in the future.
